Charter work in Queensland is regulated. Here is what applies to us, and what you can ask us to produce.
Operator accreditation
Providing a public passenger service in Queensland — which includes charter and tour work — requires operator accreditation under the Transport Operations (Passenger Transport) Act 1994 (Qld), administered by the Department of Transport and Main Roads. Accreditation covers vehicle standards, maintenance systems, driver management and safety.
Driver authorisation
Drivers carrying passengers for hire or reward in Queensland must hold a current driver authorisation issued by Transport and Main Roads, on top of the correct class of licence for the vehicle. Driver authorisation involves criminal-history and medical checks.
Working with children
Drivers on school and youth work hold a working with children clearance — a blue card — under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (Qld). Schools routinely ask for this at booking, and we are happy to confirm it in writing as part of your excursion paperwork.
Fatigue management
Longer charters fall under Heavy Vehicle National Law fatigue-management requirements, which set maximum work times and minimum rest for drivers. This is why a long day to Brisbane and back is planned with built-in breaks rather than a straight there-and-back run, and why some itineraries need a second driver. We will tell you at quote stage if your plan runs into these limits.

- Air conditioning across the fleet
- Scheduled maintenance and inspection in line with accreditation requirements
- Non-smoking and non-vaping vehicles, in line with Queensland law
- First-aid provision on board
Insurance
We carry compulsory third party and public liability cover. Certificates of currency are available on request — schools, councils and corporate procurement teams usually need them, so tell us what your documentation requires when you book.
