Bundaberg distillery day tour
Roughly 110 km north, about eighty minutes each way — and the one day tour where having a driver is the entire point.
The run
Hervey Bay to Bundaberg is around 110 km and roughly an hour and twenty minutes via Childers. It is a comfortable day-tour distance: you are there mid-morning, you have the day, and you are home for dinner.
What groups usually do
The Bundaberg Rum Distillery is the anchor — it runs guided experiences and has a visitor centre. Many groups pair it with the Bundaberg Barrel, home of the region's famous brewed ginger beer, and finish with lunch at Bargara on the coast. Turtle season at Mon Repos, roughly November to March, is a separate evening proposition worth planning on its own.
Admissions
Distillery experiences and other attraction admissions are booked separately unless your quote says otherwise. Popular experiences sell out, especially in school holidays, so book them before you lock the charter date.
Why charter it
It is a distillery. Somebody has to drive, and there are no shortcuts around that. A charter means the whole group participates, and it removes the drink-driving question from a day that is built around tasting.

Questions about the Bundaberg day tour
Do you include the distillery tickets?
Not unless your quote says so. Book experiences directly with the venue — they sell out in peak periods and you will get better availability booking early yourself.
Can we drink on the bus between stops?
Only where the vehicle and booking allow it and it has been agreed in writing beforehand. Ask at quote stage.
Can we add Mon Repos turtle viewing?
It is an evening activity in a defined season with its own booking system, so it is usually a separate charter rather than an add-on to a distillery day. We can quote it.
